"I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak..."
Hummingbird Medical Resources collaborates with local churches, organizations and personnel to serve various communities offering free health screenings and provide health education to empower individuals to live healthy lifestyles. We also provide opportunities to evangelize, train disciples, share personal testimonies and be the hands and feet of Jesus
wherever we may go.
Ashley MSN-PHN, BSN, RN "Director of Medical Outreach"- When I was 17 years old, I delivered a baby in the village of Silk Grass and that night God called me to be a medical missionary. Twenty-two years later, God's promises have come to fruition, and I have obtained my RN license in Belize and volunteer with the Belize Red Cross and we are starting two holistic clinics in Burundi. I would love for YOU to join me serving in Belize or Burundi. I am passionate about connecting with people wherever they find themselves on their journey of knowing Christ. I am looking forward to people finding freedom and new life through the power of Jesus radically transforming their lives.
Janvier "DIrector of Adminstration and Minisrty" -
Come and join an outreach team to GO and SERVE! Teams are made up of members with different skills and abilities, both medical and evangelistic. God has uniquely gifted each of us and given us a powerful testimony to share. Property #1: To build a health education and resource center. This building would function as a place to facilitate classes on blood donation, family health, diabetes, hypertension and CPR as well as host bible studies, worship and prayer events.
Property #2: To build a fully functioning medical center that provides services such as x-ray, ultrasound, a surgical suite, labor and delivery, urgent care, laboratory and blood donation/collection.
Property #3 To build a team lodge to house volunteers when they come to serve in Silk Grass. This building would have dorms, bathrooms, a kitchen, dining area as well as a "hang out" space for team meetings and devotions.
This project needs generous financial donations. Your donations will go towards purchasing the bricks, cement, boards, roofing, plumbing and electricity. "Bricks for Belize" is set up to
allow you make any monetary donations.
ONE brick costs $1.
That includes delivery to the
property site in Silk Grass.
Once the buildings are finished, filling the buildings can begin. The medical resource and education building will need chairs, tables, a projector and other basic classroom needs.
The medical center will need everything from
an X-ray machine to hospital beds and laboratory equipment. The team lodge will be needing a full kitchen, beds and other comfortable accommodating supplies.
This will all be made possible
by your generous giving.
Lastly, you can join one of the upcoming volunteer teams that go and serve in Silk Grass. Come see
and invest in what God is doing in Belize.
The goal of this campaign is to educated the people of Belize about the need of routine blood donation. The blood banks in Belize are out of blood and patients and family members have turned to social media and local news stations to beg the general public to donate blood for their loved ones.
This campaign will be the beginning of a shift in the cultural mindset involving blood donation. The Belize Red Cross will facilitate a blood drive every 2 months in all 6 districts of Belize. This will, in time, increase the blood bank supply.
You can donate to this campaign to supply advertising banners, flyers, posters, volunteer t shirts and website design.
The Mosaic Project is a vision shared by Hummingbird Medical Resources and a group of public health doctors in Burundi. Both organizations are fueled by the Gospel to see the sick healed, captives set free, and lives transformed. A threefold ministry is being established in a small village outside of Bujumbura, Burundi. This ministry will focus on the mind, body, and soul by holistically centered care for each individual.
Janvier is from Bujumbura and has great knowledge about the culture, policies, and standards of care. He is working closely with the team of doctors to navigate the road to fully opening this clinic. The clinic will focus on respiratory illness in children, sexually transmitted diseases, malaria, and women reproductive health. Fundraising is focused on the necessities for the clinic such as exam tables, supplies, and simple medicines.
The Mosaic Project is currently training women in a sewing trade to be able to provide for their family. This will also establish self-worth and build self-esteem as most women have suffered some sort of abuse and or neglect. The professional training institute will provide training in computers, delivery of care for health professionals, and small business ownership.
Our NEXT trips will be in 2023. STAY TUNED!!
total trip cost includes round trip airfare, lodging, three meals per day, transportation, scrub top, team hat/shirt and excursions.

Your support and contributions will enable us to meet the medical needs of people that would not necessarily have access to medical care due to location or finances. Sponsoring an expectant mother to receive an ultrasound for prenatal care or paying for the airline fee for shipping wheelchairs are just some of the examples that funds have been put towards. With God, all things are possible!
I am partnered with World Outreach Ministries (WOM). WOM is my home office that manages donations and other financial gifts. WOM supports over 400 the past 30 plus years. WOM is a non-profit with 501c3 tax benefits. You can donate to Hummingbird Medical Resources through WOM and receive a tax benefit receipt. www.WorldOutreach.org/661 My fund code is #661. You can make checks payable to World Outreach Ministries/Ashley Ott #661. Thank you in advance for your continued support!
